Short, flowering perennial that grows up to 150cm high in humid habitats, along riverbeds, meadows and fields up to 2500 m.a.s.l. Once boiled the leaves can be sauteed and served with yoghurt, pilaf and larger leaves used to make rolls. The leaves can also be sun-dried and consumer during the winter months.
